Hi, I'm Ten You. Hey, my name is Ben. We're from TB School. We come and teach our students — we do a Michael Jackson style and also a little bit of hip‑hop.
Hi, I'm Cheyan and I'm 16. I'm one of the Year 11 choreographers. My role is to choreograph dancers and to teach them. What I love about coming here is that we get to teach them how to dance and also how to tell a story through dance, and I just love coming here.
I'm a boy. I'm Hip Hop.
I found that it was really exciting to hang out with people my own age. I really loved it and enjoyed it. It was such an amazing experience learning different steps from the high school students, and it’s just been an absolutely amazing journey.
My name is Sopie Bowman and I am a Performing Arts student at Shin Bay State High School. We came up with a dance to "Keep Your Head Up" and it was actually a really inspirational song because it's about keeping your head up through the toughest times.
Hello, my name is Nathaniel. That's my sign name, Nathaniel. I design the clothes — I do the costumes. We come here every Tuesday to teach the dancing. Thank you.
Okay, so we've got through this project and it's pretty amazing. What are some of the things your kids are saying were the highlights?
Some of the highlights were that they made lots of great friends. They were able to help young people develop their skills through dance and express themselves. Hopefully we can work with Arc next year — I think that would be really good — and then we could take over the world. Thank you. Young people's music and young people's language and young people's energy — and just watching that young people can actually look after young people and create something beautiful.
