Film Transcript

The absolute strongest part of a person is their ability to be resilient. I think to build that and to encourage that is just a constant reminder. You remind yourself of every metre of every race. When things start to get to the stage where they do seem somewhat insurmountable, the reason you get through it is because you remind yourself that you're strong enough, that you can do it, that that's who you are, that you don't let things drag you down. That resilience—the only reason and the only way that is encouraged or nurtured with anyone—is the constant reminding of who they are, of what they want, that they are extremely strong, that they are extremely resilient. The day will end and tomorrow will come, and if anything, the one thing that history tells us is that we do wake up, that we do heal, and that we do have the ability to keep going.
